Technology Training

Personnel Training

The District recognizes that for faculty and staff to make efficient use of technology, they need to be provided with opportunities to learn about the services available.

Through staff development and flex activities, the Colleges regularly offer technology training opportunities for faculty and staff. The staff development program also supports the use of using outside resources for professional development, such as the Vision Resource Center, LinkedIn Learning, and KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training.

In collaboration with the Colleges, and District Committees, ITS provides one-on-one training, webinars, online office hours, and in-person training in the following:

  • Employee tools such as OmniUpdate, Funnelback, Formstack, Calendly, Microsoft Teams, O365, and Zoom.
  • Instructional tools such as Panopto, Canvas, and Pronto.
  • Banner 9 navigation training workshops are provided to staff.
  • WebXtender navigation training workshops are provided to staff.
  • Security Training using the KnowBe4 platform.
  • Salesforce/SSL Trainings including in person, virtual, documentation, and video recording

Student Training

ITS provides FAQs and tutorials online for students and does presentations to students in classes as-needed when launching new systems, such as Student Email, WebSchedule, and Degree Works.
